Buffalo Herd
Custer State Park, South Dakota
Outside the town of Deadwood, South Dakota is the beautiful Custer State Park, where I love to camp. Custer State Park is located in the Black Mountain Hills of Dakota. The park is teeming with wildlife, in particular there are large herds of buffalo in the park.

The Native Americians had great respect for all life and especially the buffalo. They believed the buffalo could communicate with people through dreams and visions. I could feel the power of these great creatures while visiting the Black Hills and camping in the park.
