"And surprise guests which I'm not at liberty to talk about for various reasons," Gravy said. That's me,

Fall 2005

I played an acoustic set at a Benefit dinner for Seva on Wavy Gravy's 69th Birthday.  The dinner was held at the Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley, CA.  After dinner everyone went to continue the party at the Berkeley Community Theater for the big show with Phil Lesh and Friends.

I'm taking a break from playing at the Petaluma Coffee Cafe on Saturdays.  I worked on the Temple of Dreams for Burning Man 2005.  I worked with David Best and the Temple Crew to make an art piece in San Francisco, California at Hayes and Octavia, during May 2005.  The art piece is like the Burning Man Temples, only smaller (see the photo).  Click here for more info

Click Here to find out more about "Blind Man's Stick" and "New Day Coming". As I started writing the folk rock ballad "Blind Man's Stick", I had a picture in my head of a little cabin up in some remote mountain range, and a soldier comes limping home from distant wars.  This CD also includes some blazing rock n' rock on the song, "New Day Coming".

Click Here to find out more about "Thank God I'm in Cody" EP. The music uses period instruments such as the banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and acoustic guitars, as well as vocal harmonies; to create the feeling of an old west bar room. This music was written in honor of my personal love for the American Western frontier of Wyoming, Montana, and the cowboy's life.

By popular request, I added a link so people can buy the 12 String Guitar CD of solo acoustic  guitar  music online. Click here to Order the 12 String Guitar CD and find out more! I spent three weeks at Burning Man in August 2004. I'll was out there in the desert for three weeks, helping build the "Temple of the Stars". After getting back from Burning Man, I recorded this instrumental guitar album of the music I composed for the temples at Burning Man from 2001 to 2004.

My friends Dearbhla and Aprile released their movie ,"Dust Devils", about the Burning Man festival on DVD in 2004. If you want to get an idea about what Burning Man is like, then I suggest watching this movie. There are a couple of brief video shots of me playing guitar in one of the temples. For more information on "Dust Devils" Dearbhla and Aprile have a website at http://www.purpleproductions.net

I got mentioned in the first issue of Petaluma Magazine in 2004 for my Saturday morning music at the Petaluma Coffee Cafe in Petaluma, California.
