Summer Sun Burning in the Valley
by: W. Dire Wolff 1997

Summer Sun burning down in the valley
Velvet green summertime is here
Hoe the corn, watch the things that are growing
Won’t be long until wintertime is near.

Autumn leaves, dancing red and blowing
Cool crisp days and harvest in the fields
Chop the wood, cold winds now are blowing
Praise the Lord, thank him for the yields.

Winter cold blowing through the valley
Caught in snow and all the winter fears
Smoke the rope and watch the fire burning
Wait until the magic reappears.

Yellow spring all the trees are budding
Sing a song for all the birds so clear
Plant a seed, take this time for sowing
Won’t be long until summertime is here.
